The British Grand Prix is almost upon us – and Logan will be looking to make an impact on a track where he has enjoyed plenty of success in the past.
LS2 achieved first-place finishes at Silverstone during his time in Formula 4, Formula 3 and Formula 2, so will be hoping to take inspiration from those triumphs as he goes in search of points on Sunday.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Logan is feeling positive about his visit to the home of British motorsport.
“I’ve always loved racing at Silverstone,” he said. “The track has everything a driver wants with its quick and flowing nature.
“I have fond memories of this place throughout my career, and it’s always been one that I’ve performed well at.”
The Floridian’s car will be kitted out in Union Jack livery this weekend, with the names of all 1,005 Williams Racing team members included in the design.
And Logan feels the tribute is fitting recognition for all his colleagues’ efforts.
“Racing with the names of every single team member on the car is the perfect way to mark everyone’s hard work and a home race for Williams,” he explained, before adding:
“The fans are what makes Silverstone so special as they’re some of the most passionate in the world and you can really feel them getting behind the team.”
Logan will need to be prepared for Silverstone’s famed fast corners and high-speed action, as he navigates the 5.891 km (3.661 miles) layout and 18 turns.
Sector 1 is the newest part of the track, before the twists of Village and The Loop let the field close up – then LS2 will drive down the Wellington Straight to start Sector 2 at Brooklands and Luffield, where there is often plenty of wheel-to-wheel action.
The second sector also includes the iconic Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel complex – famed for high-speed direction changes – before Sector 3's Hangar Straight, Stowe Corner and Vale-Chapel offer more overtaking opportunities.
With 480,000 fans in attendance last year, the 2024 British Grand Prix promises to be a weekend to remember — and one where Logan’s past performances give plenty of cause for optimism.
