Read what Logan had to say when he answered some of your questions on life growing up in Florida and being away from the track.
How did you discover racing and karting growing up in America?
“I was fortunate growing up with my brother and my dad - we were into the more adrenaline based stuff. So we just grew up driving lots of things, whether it was dirt bikes, go-karts, four wheelers, and from that path we just got into karting. It started off as something to do on the weekends with my brother and dad, but ultimately it got a little bit bigger than that…”
How do you manage being away from your family for so long?
“You just don't really have a choice. I've been living away from my family since I was 12 years old. At that point they were back and forth from Europe and America, but I've been on my own fully since I was about 16, so it kind of just feels normal now. I try to get back as much as I can to see them and they come over to London which is always nice.”
What's your favorite thing to do when you go back to Florida?
“Probably doing some sort of water sports like wakesurfing, wakeboarding, that sort of stuff. Or to go fishing - I’d definitely say either of those.”
What is your go-to food when you’re back in the US?
“It's tricky because all the best food is there. My dad's barbecue is amazing and I can't get that when I’m away, so I always look forward to coming back to get it.”
What do you usually get up to during non-race weeks?
“One part that I guess fans of the sport don't always realize is that when we go away from the track, we're straight back to the factory, straight back on the simulator doing correlation from the previous round, doing development for the next few rounds. It's kind of this ever going cycle of reviewing, preparing, and at the same time staying fit in the gym.”
