An unfortunate day in Spielberg for Logan, as our No.2’s Austrian Grand Prix was all but over following an early collision.
Going into Turn 3, Sarge made contact with Lance Stroll and was subsequently forced to pit for a new front wing due to the resulting damage.
From here, it was always set to be an uphill battle for our American race driver, who needed luck to jump dramatically up the leaderboard – which did not arrive.
Despite the setbacks, Logan's determination was unwavering.
He continued to manage his tyres effectively for the rest of the race and maintained a competitive pace, keeping up with team-mate Alex Albon and others on the grid.
Ultimately, LS2 finished P19, as Lando Norris was forced to retire following an intense battle with the then-race leader, Max Verstappen.
Following the race, Logan said: "It’s been a tough afternoon.
"I damaged my front wing on the first lap and from there I was praying for a Safety Car that never came.
"I feel like the pace was okay relative and it was a good step forward from yesterday but still a painful day.
"Generally, things are moving in the right direction, but we need to find some more pace in the car."
Now it’s time to look ahead to the British Grand Prix, where in 2023, Sarge managed to cross the finish line P11 – so let's hope for more improvements this time around!
