We sat down with Logan to ask him some of your questions about race day preparation and his favorite tracks.
Here’s what he had to say…
What is your typical race day routine?
"I try to keep it as normal and relaxed as possible — wake up, get a good breakfast.
"If it's a late hour race then maybe jump in the pool, just to get the body moving.
"Once you get to the track, it gets a little bit more busy. You have your pre-race engineering meeting, where you go through the plans for the day, like pit stop strategy, what tires you're going to start on all, that sort of fun stuff.
"Then we have the driver parade, and from there it starts moving pretty quick — warm up, get in the car, and it’s lights out pretty soon."
What are you thinking about when you’re sitting in the car before lights out?
"Unfortunately, you don't have enough time to think about everything, but generally you're just thinking about your procedures.
"So first you're thinking about making sure you get off the line well, then after that your focus switches to trying to attack and get forward.
What is your favorite non-Formula 1 track?
"Macau — I raced there in Formula 3 and that was easily the track that gave me the most adrenaline I've ever had, so I’d really like to drive there again at some point."
Which track outside of Formula 1 would you like to drive?
"It’s a very American answer, but Watkins Glen is one of my favorites, so I’d love to drive it one day."
If you could race at any 24 hours race like Le Mans, Spa or the Nürburgring, which one would you choose and why?
"I think there are two that I've always really wanted to do.
"Of course, Le Mans is Le Mans, but — growing up so close to Daytona during the Daytona 24 Hours — that’s always been a dream of mine.
"So yeah, hopefully I can tick those two off at some point."
